Hailing from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Kennedy Von Kat is a rising force in modern metalcore, blending the nostalgia of 2000s metalcore with gothic metal, hard rock, and a cinematic horror aesthetic. Drawing influence from artists such as Motionless In White, Evanescence, Violent Vira, and HIM, Kennedy creates music that balances haunting melodies and soaring vocals with gut wrenching screams, crushing instrumentals, and ear catching guitar work.

Her music is deeply rooted in self identity, mental health, self worth, and emotional resilience, transforming personal experiences into songs that remind listeners they are never truly alone. Rather than shying away from difficult emotions, Kennedy embraces them. Encouraging listeners to trust their hearts, reconnect with themselves, and become their strongest selves. Her lyrics cut deep while remaining accessible, creating an emotional connection that reaches far beyond the music itself.

Following her debut EP ‘BLOOD ON THE ALTAR’, Kennedy has entered a heavier new era, moving away from pop driven elements and leaning further into the sounds that first inspired her: 2000s metalcore, gothic metal, and the raw intensity of heavy music. Her growing discography has surpassed 65,000 streams, with “PSYCHODRAMA” alone surpassing 35,000 streams. Her recent releases have also been brought to life through three distinct music videos, including the gothic horror-inspired “DESOLATE,” the vintage horror movie-style “Driving Me Insane,” and the band-focused “Corpse Bride,” which features Lauren Leprich of Deer Fang alongside Kennedy’s guitarist Jake Taylor. “Corpse Bride” surpassed 6,000 views within its first week.

Kennedy has collaborated with a growing circle of Canadian and international talent, including Erik Jensen of Escape The Fate, 52Blu, Siegfried Meier, Deer Fang, and HOWLEAN. She now works with Erik Jensen on her music as a producer, songwriter, mixer, and mastering engineer, continuing their collaboration across her future releases.

Her artistry extends beyond the music itself. Drawing heavily from gothic fashion, horror, blood-soaked imagery, and vintage horror cinema, Kennedy creates a visual world that mirrors the emotional intensity of her songs. Her performances carry that same energy. Fiery, immersive, and unapologetically emotional—leaving audiences feeling empowered, understood, and energized.

Kennedy has shared the stage with Judgement, Goalkeeper, and Harley Olivia, co-headlined NXNE Festival, won first place in the 2024 Mic Drop Competition, judged by Juno Award winner and Grammy nominee Michael Hanson, and received three nominations at the Niagara Music Awards. Her music has received radio play on ROCK 95 and ROCK 97.7, and her work has caught the attention of artists including Craig Mabbitt, Matti Hoffman, Vic Fuentes, and Lzzy Hale.

With a new EP set to be announced in September 2026, accompanied by new merchandise created in collaboration with Canadian gothic brand Wickedly Divine Shop, Kennedy Von Kat is entering her most ambitious era yet.
